Acorn points are designed to reward users who contribute to the success of the Lair Finance protocol. Starting with the Lair Finance mainnet launch on August 29th, 2024, every participant in the Lair Finance ecosystem will receive Acorn points. The number of points earned will depend on the duration and nature of participation.
The primary way to earn Acorn points is by holding stKAIA. Lair Finance rewards every participant who mints or holds stKAIA in their wallet. stKAIA holders will receive 1 Acorn point per day for each stKAIA they hold.
Acorn points are made of two types of points - staking points and referral points.
Staking points can be earned by staking KAIA with Lair. This is for those who provide liquidity.
Referral points can be earned by referring Lair to friends.
Staking Points:
Staking 1 KAIA earns you 1 Acorn point / day
For example, if you staked KAIA and held 1 stKAIA for 30 days, you'd receive 30 Acorn points.
Referral Points:
The referrer receives 10% of the staking points that the referred users earns.
The referred user receives 5% boost to the staking points.
For example, let's say Bob refers Amy, and Amy stakes 100stKAIA. Then Amy gets 5 referral points per day for getting referred and staking and holding 100stKAIA. Bob gets 10 referral points per day for referring Amy who staked and held 100stKAIA.
This benefits both the referrer and the referred.
stKAIA holders who deposit their stKAIA to the partner DeFi services will receive additional points from the Kaia Foundation on top of the Acorn points. To clarify,
Acorn points are distributed by Lair Finance. Kaia Portal points are given by the Kaia Foundation.
They are shown on the Lair Finance Dapp once you connect your wallet. These points will be updated once a day. Go to Farm page for details.

The easiest way is to simply stake your KAIA on Lair Finance. As we continue to rollout our partnerships and integrations, we will implement programs for users to begin earning additional points for LP’ing into DeFi protocols that we integrate with. etc. Please be aware that you will only continue to earn Acorn points if your wallet is holding stKAIA, or if you have provided liquidity to our partner ecosystem DeFi services.
No. You will not lose any of your Acorn points in relation to your stKAIA. They will simply stop accruing if you no longer hold these assets in your wallet.
