# Season 1

### Overview

Liar Finance's Rewards Campaign Season 1 is a special event offering additional rewards to users of Lair Finance liquid staking service. This campaign distributes rewards based on users' stKAIA holdings and participation duration.

### How to Participate?

Stake KAIA via Lair Finance and hold stKAIA in your wallet or a partner DeFi service's stKAIA pool.

### Campaign Structure

* Season 1 consists of 5 Phases
* Each Phase lasts for 1 week
* Campaign period: August 29 - October 3

### Reward Distribution Mechanism

#### Phase Info

1. Each Phase operates on a weekly basis.
2. Phase 1 : August 29 \~ September 5 (~~300,000~~ ~~600,000~~ 800,000 KAIA in Reward Pool)
3. Phase 2 : September 5 \~ September 12 (600,000 KAIA in Reward Pool)
4. Phase 3 : September 12 \~ September 19 (600,000 KAIA in Reward Pool)
5. Phase 4 : September 19 \~ September 26 (300,000 KAIA in Reward Pool)
6. Phase 5 : September 26 \~ October 3 (600,000 KAIA in Reward Pool)

#### Reward Calculation Method

1. **Phase n Reward Pool**: Total rewards to be distributed in each Phase (It may be different for each phase)
2. **Phase n Total Points**: Sum of 'Staking Points' earned by all users during the Phase
3. **Phase n User Points**: 'Staking Points' earned by an individual user during the Phase

### Reward Calculation Formula

```
User Reward = (Phase n Reward Pool) * (Phase n User Points) / (Phase n Total Points)
```

#### Reward Updates

* User rewards are calculated and reflected on the rewards page within 1-5 days after each Phase ends.

### Claiming Rewards

1. **Claim Availability**: After the conclusion of Season 1
2. **Claim Period**: ~~Within 90 days after the claiming starts~~  from October 10, 2024 until December 20, 2024.
3. **Unclaimed Rewards Handling**:
   * Unclaimed rewards expire after December 20, 2024.
   * Expired rewards are recycled for the next season's campaign

### Rewards Campaign APR

* Bonus rewards added on top of the existing Liar Finance staking APY
* Available only during the campaign period
* May end early if the budget is depleted
